Assumes administrative responsibility in conjunction with or in the absence of the Facility Administrative Team (Administrator/CEO, Chief Nursing Officer, Sr. VP of Hospital Operations and/or the Chief Financial Officer), making decisions for the care and coordination of services particularly during the evening, night, weekend and/or holiday operational hours. Directs, supervises and/or coordinates the services provided by the health care workers of all departments in the absence of the department director. Identifies patient care problems and assists with solutions. Compiles required reports; and investigates, resolves and/or refers complaints. Trains nursing personnel on new techniques, procedures, and equipment.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited RN Nursing Program and possess current MN license; Experience in a leadership/management role preferred; A minimum of two (2) years clinical experience in one or more areas (i.e., Med/Surg., ICCU, Obstetrics, Labor/Delivery); Certificates in BLS; ACLS; TNCC; NRP; PALS.
