Join Community Memorial Hospital’s Diabetes Prevention Program and learn to reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes, one small step at a time. Our yearlong community-based program is designed to help adults make lifestyle changes that will enhance their overall health and wellness.
Groups meets for 26 sessions with a trained Lifestyle Coach over the course of the year (initially weekly, then on a biweekly basis). Classes focus on making incremental changes such as improving food choices, increasing physical activity, and managing stress—all of which are designed to assist participants in losing weight and preventing the onset of type 2 diabetes.
Class will begin on April 8, 2020, and will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 3-4pm. Class will run for 26 sessions over one year, ending on March 24, 2021.

The cost of the yearlong program is covered by most insurances, including Medicare. For those without insurance coverage, contact program coordinator for more information. Scholarships may be available.
