CMH’s Emergency Room (ER) is always open and ready to care for you. Any visit to the ER—no matter the reason—can be unexpected and stressful. As a Level IV Trauma Center and Acute Stroke Ready Hospital, CMH’s ER is committed to providing attentive, efficient, and compassionate care.

At CMH, our emergency department provides immediate care for the following medical conditions and trauma.
In our ER, we use a process called triage to determine which patients need the most immediate medical attention. Patients with the most urgent medical conditions are seen first, regardless of arrival time.

CMH partners with Duluth-based PAVSA (Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault) and Fond du Lac Advocacy Services to provide trauma-informed care for survivors of sexual assault.
