Volunteers of all ages give their time and energy to Community Memorial Hospital and CMH Raiter Family Clinic. They can be found serving in a multitude of ways, including assisting patients, delivering mail, staffing the giftshop, maintaining facility gardens, playing the lobby piano, greeting visitors at the front desk, and supporting various hospital departments as needed.

The CMH Auxiliary Board manages the Gift Shop, holds fundraisers and provides services at the hospital. Since 2004, the Auxiliary has given nearly $39,000 to CMH. Fundraisers have included ‘Spread the Warmth’ Coat Drive, “No-Bake” Sale, Lights of Love, used book sale, an annual garage sale, and Vendor and Craft Fair.
As a way of saying “thank you” to volunteers, the Auxiliary provides a complimentary meal to all volunteers upon request whenever they are serving, free coffee or tea at the Volunteer Check-in Station, an annual appreciation lunch, and opportunities to attend the Minnesota State Hospital Volunteer Organization’s annual conference and the MAHB District B meetings.
