Visitors

Visiting hours

Community Memorial Hospital visiting hours: 10:30am-8:30pm
Sunnyside Health Care Center visiting hours: 8:30am-8:30pm

Current visitor guidelines are being updated based on community spread rates of COVID-19. CMH’s current visitor policy is:

  • In all patient settings, two visitors at a time are allowed. Visitors may change throughout the day.
  • Visitors must wear masks at all times, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Children are not allowed to visit in the inpatient department.
  • COVID-19 positive inpatients are not allowed visitors.
  • This policy does not apply to Sunnyside Health Care Center, which is governed by a different set of regulations.

Pediatric Visitors

Children who are not being seen as patients may accompany an adult when the following requirements can be met:

  • Children of age two and older must be able to wear a mask appropriately.
  • Children must be able to maintain six feet of social distancing from other patients/families.
  • Children must stay seated in the designated lobby or treatment area under direct supervision of the adult they are with.

Exceptions to these policies can be made and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Thank you for your understanding during this challenging period. These updates are meant to keep patients, staff, and visitors safe. As always, these restrictions are subject to change.

Stop by the gift shop for unique items

If you’re looking for an unusual gift, stop by the CMH gift shop. The hospital gift shop is staffed by 24 loyal volunteers and profits are donated to the Hospital Auxiliary. The gift shop is located in the new portion of the hospital; shop hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30am-3:30pm.

Riverside Café

Visitors and guests are welcome to enjoy a meal at the Riverside Café located on the ground floor. Café hours are Monday to Friday, 7am-6:30pm. Hot food is served 7-9:30am, 11am–2pm and 4-6:30pm. Hours are subject to change. Read more about the Riverside Café.

CMH Chapel and Chaplain

The Chapel, which was dedicated to the memory of Pastor/Chaplain David C. Ziemer in 2007, is designed to be a place for meditation, prayer, and reflection.

Mary Beck is the chaplain at the hospital and Sunnyside Health Care Center. She meets with patients, families, and nursing home residents as they face challenging moments in their lives. In these situations, the chaplain is there to offer a listening ear, empathy for people, and a word of hope and comfort.

Support Groups

The following support groups meet at CMH: Grief, AA, Prostate Cancer, and Parkinson’s. Read more about our Support Groups.
